We've truly enjoyed our time here in southern Alabama. We appreciate the support everyone has shown us. We've made some great friends. But the time has come for us to move on to the next stage of our journey.

The journey that brought us to Fairhope!
 
Once we had completed our extensive three-year refit of our 43’ GulfStar, we were in the final stage of making our dream into a reality. We had left our long-term careers, passed the test for our U.S.C.G. Captain's License, sold just about everything that did not float, and said good-bye to family and friends. Crazy or not we left Missouri for tropical paradise via the Mississippi River.

Originally we wanted to ship the boat by land and skip the trip down the river. But now that we've completed over 1000 miles by water we are so glad we made the trip. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. And we would have missed out on meeting a lot of great people, making new friends and seeing beautiful places.
